Integrated therapy & nutrition for lasting anxiety and eating disorder recovery

At Actualize, we bridge the gap between mental health and physical nourishment. Our Registered Dietitians and Licensed Therapists collaborate in real-time to treat the roots of anxiety, trauma, perfectionism, and disordered eating.

Accepting major insurance including BCBS, United Health, and Medicare.

The Science of Healing

Why pair a therapist with a registered dietitian?

Healing is most effective when the mind and body are addressed as one system. While therapy explores the emotional roots of anxiety and trauma, our Registered Dietitians focus on the gut-brain connection and metabolic stability. By treating both, we help you achieve sustainable regulation that talk therapy alone often misses.

Our model removes the "coordination burden" from the client. Instead of you translating notes between providers, our team collaborates directly. This ensures your nutrition plan supports your clinical goals, creating a more cohesive path for high-achievers navigating burnout or recovery.

Common questions about integrated care

Which insurance plans do you accept?

Actualize Counseling & Nutrition is committed to accessible care. We are in-network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna/Evernorth, Optum, Tufts, and UnitedHealthcare (UHC/UMR). We also proudly accept MassHealth, Medicaid, Medicare, Mass General Brigham Health Plan, Carelon, WellSense, and Wellpoint. Our team handles coordinated billing for both therapy and dietitian services.

How does a Registered Dietitian support mental health?

Our Registered Dietitians focus on Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) for behavioral health. By addressing the gut-brain axis, blood sugar stability, and nutrient co-factors, they provide the physical foundation required for stable mood and effective anxiety management. We integrate mental health concepts into nutritional counseling to ensure your body supports the work you do in therapy.

What is "trauma-informed" or "somatic" therapy?

Trauma-informed care means we recognize how past experiences are stored in the nervous system. For high-achieving adults navigating burnout or perfectionism, our therapists use somatic (body-based) techniques to help release physical stress and reset the nervous system, moving beyond traditional talk therapy to achieve lasting emotional safety.

Do you offer virtual care in Massachusetts and Idaho?

Yes. We provide 100% HIPAA-compliant telehealth services for residents across Massachusetts and Idaho. Our virtual model allows you to meet with your integrated team of specialists from home, providing the same level of clinical coordination as an in-person clinic with the convenience of virtual access.

What is your approach to eating disorder recovery?

We utilize a HAES-aligned (Health At Every Size), non-diet approach focused on metabolic restoration and intuitive healing. By pairing a specialized therapist and dietitian, we help you move away from the "perfectionism trap" and chronic dieting toward a peaceful, sustainable relationship with food and your body.
